Prediction of transonic film cooling using the turbulent viscosity correction method

چکیده

Two-equation turbulence models, such as the k–epsilon (k–ε) and shear stress transport (SST) have limited accuracy in calculating film cooling effectiveness. Previous studies focused on modifying turbulent Prandtl number from perspective of thermal diffusion to improve prediction simulations. However, flow jet is crucial for simulating cooling. The calculated effectiveness differs experimental results due deviations predicted amount mixing. This study proposes corrections baseline k–ω model developed by Menter. proposed method modifies field with mass species conservation equation mixing region while maintaining advantages original nonmixing region. principle corrected explained through comparison analysis SST model. significantly improves effect two fluids. main behind this that more accurately predicts intensity zone Furthermore, paper experimentally validates modified an array holes Mach numbers 0.4 1.4. shows a 24% improvement computational compared
